Dear Members

The season is off to a great start with the first game of the season being played at the Richmond Kings C.C. Arena between two tough Novice teams, the Falcons 3 and the Sidewinders 1.  This tight checking contest ended in a 4 - 4 tie.  The next game on the card was equally matched, again in the Novice division, the Falcons 2 edged out the Sidewinders 2 hosts 4 - 3.  The final game of the evening was at the Peewee B level with the host Sidewinders 1 against the Falcons 1.  This was a battle of goalies with no score until 6:19 left in the third period when Cole Lindblom opened up the scoring for the Sidewinders on a nice pass from Michael Breault.   This match-up saw both goalies continually being pelted with shots, Carl Duck from the Falcons was especially strong between the pipes in this meeting and Sidewinders Stephane Berard chalked up a shutout for his effort.
Games are being played throughout Saturday and Sunday at The Richmond Kings C.C. and also in our satellite site in Fort Alexander.
Get out and catch some of this action!

Sincerely yours,

The WMLA Newsletter Team
